Dodgers played in a 4th of July Tournament. It was about 90 degrees, but we all had a blast. We carried coolers full of gatorade and bottled water and yes, we kicked butt!!
Barry took seven scouts to camp.....It was quite an adventure. Showering and brushing their teeth seemed to be the most difficult task to get completed. Braxton & Daxton had to build a monkey bridge. However, they came home to play a baseball game the night of that assignment and didn't really have the time to spend on it. Thanks baseball mom Kim, who built it during the game. Will they really ever need to know the skill of monkey bridge building?
Barry made Tyler a wooden holder to store his hunding waders on in the garage.
Hailey sketched praying hands and inserted pressed leaves and flowers from The Garden of Gethsemene. Awesome job Hailey!

PHOENIX BASEBALL - MARCH 2009 We went to Phoenix to a tournament and enjoyned 80 degree weather in March. The grass was green, the sunsets were gorgeous, and the boys played well for not being able to practice on a field yet because of snow......They had only held practice in the high school gym. We enjoyed some professional spring training games. Watched the LA Dodgers, Rockies, Rangers, and LA Angels play. All got sunburned and enjoyed every minute of it. What a great way to start the season.
CHRISTMAS 2008
For those who are unaware of our family Christmas tradition, each year we draw names and make a homemade gift. This little antic outweighs any other activity we do around Christmas time on the "stress meter". It is a very creative and time consuming process, but it is also our favorite. We exchange them before going to bed on Christmas Eve and the laughs and tears are priceless......oh the stories we have told about our creations.... However, I have currently misplaced Barry's so until I track it down, his photo is missing.
Mindee made Tyler a peg board for his garage......to hang all his junk on!
Kolbi made Braxton a photo album of our trip to Hawaii along with post cards that matched the photos. Great job Kolbs...
Barry made Kolbi a fleece pillow. She had been coveting Tyler's all year long.
Braxton made a baseball covered with photos of many of the places we've traveled with the team and wrote a letter telling how grateful he was for the fun times we've spent together. It was awesome!!!
Tyler gave Hailey the game UNO with laminated rules of "Vicious Jungle Uno" that she could take back to school with her.
Hawaiian Hula girl!!

Hawaii 2008
We spent Labor Day weekend at the cabin with Kolbi & Tyler & Rial and his kids. Braden and Landon brought the boat over so we were able to spend some time on the lake also. It was beautiful. However, the temperature was in the 80's on Saturday, nice on Sunday, then we left in a snow storm on Monday. Quite an eventful weekend. We did some hiking, four wheeling, and boating.....that's quite a variety of activities. Plus, some pretty intense games of Rook and one other card game that I never really learned the rules of.
Four Wheeling at the cabin!

Spring Baseball!!!
Baseball was a little wet and cold this year. We wore coats, and gloves and carried propane heaters in our cars to keep warm at the games. It seemed like it was always another cold day at game time. We went to Vegas over Memorial Day and they had the coldest May 23rd on record. Yes, we were there wondering what had happened to the heat of the desert.
